Cookies and Water
Emily, of cookie fame, couldn't join this foray but Marge deemed her cookies (two days worth) an absolute requirement none the less. Emily delivered ample batches of chewy butterscotch and shortbready chocolate / soft biscotti-esque cookies to trusted drivers John and other Barbara. Beth (R) was chosen to maintain custody and hike the cookies to Lunch, which starts with cookies. Munchers contemplate butterscotch, drowning thoughts of impending stream crossing of rain swollen Red Creek. The crossing is planned for after lunch so anyone soaked while crossing won't need to pause to eat, and can warm up with immediate walking.
We surveyed Red Creek up and down, pow wowed, and nixed crossing the torrent, opting to continue along the same side of the Red Creek Trail. Anyway, it was wet and there were plenty of other crossings.

Marge Guinard leads 10 + 4 Hearty Souls Slogging Dolly Sods
Veteran Dolly Sods backpacker and Mountain Club of Maryland regular Marge led two day hikes during three days of May showers. Nary a drop fell during the hikes and apparently 100% of hikers returned in at least as good condition as they started. Based at Harman's North Fork Cabins, we ascended into fog clouds by car to trail heads and covered all or part of Rohrbaugh, Fisher Spring Run and Red Creek trails day one and Bear Rocks, Raven Ridge, Dobbin Grade and Beaver View the next.
